MEET DEMETRE ROLL
Doing whatever catches his fancy at the time, Demetre has set out to gain skills and experience in whatever field of photography he wants or needs. So far he has done light painting, landscape, still-life, and more. He sets out to remain enthusiastic about whatever he does, and tries to complete his tasks the best he can, even though he might not always do that. If he fails, he comes back with vengeance, determined to nail whatever comes at him next, motivated, and learning from, his past failures.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Goals and Aspirations
I have chosen to mainly do light painting simply because I see a lot of possibility with it. In addition to it looking awesome, It has a lot of creative possibility, because basically you can draw anything you want, with the drawing being by itself or around or intertwining with stuff. For example, I might draw around some people to make it look like they have wings, or an aura surrounding them. Some challenges would be not having enough people, or enough light, or too much light. I will also try to integrate some sort of hidden meaning in most of my work later on. However, also work on different fields here and there, such as landscape and still-life, because I feel I have a good eye for these things, meaning I will notice a good angle or shot when I see one. I also try to pump out as many original ideas as possible, such as new or different angles. At the end of the day, I'm just going to attempt to do the best work I can possibly produce!
